Grand Seiko's signature "Snowflake" dial in newly sized case for women

When the wind whips across the snow that lies in the mountains that surround the Grand Seiko studio where this watch is made, it creates a ripple effect whose beauty is reflected in this subtly textured dial – not unlike Grand Seiko's best-selling men's reference SBGA211. Measuring 29mm in diameter, this new reference is thoughtfully sized for a woman's wrist, while maintaining the Snowflake's now iconic textures and play with light, which evoke the beauty of of freshly fallen snow on its dial.

The blued steel second hand stands out clearly against the pure white, enhancing the legibility of the time and inviting the eye to dwell on the clean expanse of the dial. The perfect Zaratsu mirror and fine hairline finishes combine to give the case and bracelet an ever changing aspect and accentuate the beauty of the flowing lines that form its profile on the wrist.

Kintaro Hattori, who founded the company in 1881, had a clear vision for Seiko. He wanted it to be ‘Always one step ahead of the rest’ and nothing better exemplifies the company's loyalty to this ideal than Grand Seiko with its focus on advancements in the fundamentals of watchmaking.
