TOPPER EXTENDED GUARANTEE
Extended Warranty
Toppers is excited to offer a free extended warranty on the purchase of new watches. This warranty begins when the manufacturer's warranty runs out. As such, Topper Fine Jewelers will provide an additional non-transferable warranty for a period of one year.*
*Restrictions Apply. Service provided anywhere other than at Topper Fine Jewelers or a service center of the original manufacturer is not covered and shall void the warranty. Topper Fine Jewelers will have sole discretion to determine whether the work for the warranty will be performed "in house" by Topper Fine Jewelers or at a repair facility of our choice. The limited warranty does not cover bracelets, crystals, batteries, or any damage to the case or movement caused by moisture that might have entered the watch as a result of improper handling, nor does it apply, on a more general basis, if there is evidence of misuse or abuse. Only Topper Fine Jewelers will determine at its sole discretion to repair any watch under this warranty.
An art-deco classic from the Fears archive
Created to coincide with the 175th Anniversary of the founding of Fears, the Archival 1930 is a proportional recreation of an art deco watch Fears made in 1930. True to the original, each watch is powered by a genuine "new-old-stock" vintage ETA 2360 movement dating back to the 1960s. Each movement has undergone a full rebuild and reconditioning in the workshop while receiving an upgraded mainspring to improve reliability. This, combined with the elegant form of the Archival, creates a perfectly unique unisex reference tailored for the discerning collector.
A close reproduction of the 1930 original, the dial has a distinctive Art Deco design, reflecting the glittering age in which it was first created. To capture the original’s look and details, the dial’s base is polished and plated in 18ct Yellow Gold, and then the rest of the dial is layered on top. This results in the real gold border shining through the smooth, matte Champagne finish that is treated to a light 18ct yellow gold plating.
Precisely milled from 316L stainless steel then finished in a combination of linearly brushed and highly polished surfaces, the rectangular Archival is designed to sit comfortably on the wrist thanks to its slim, curved profile. Adhering to the exact proportions of the 1930 original, both the crystal and case back have a matching curvature that follows the contours of the wrist perfectly.
