The sporty Pioneer gets its long-awaited 40mm companion
H. Moser & Cie.’s all-terrain sporty-chic automatic tourbillon now comes in a 40mm case size, complete with a brand new fumé dial colour. The Pioneer Tourbillon Arctic Blue features a double hairspring tourbillon mechanism, guaranteeing the highest level of precision in every activity. Its Arctic Blue fumé dial brings a new range of azure blue tones to make this more compact Pioneer truly outstanding.
Conceived to counteract the effects of gravity on the watch’s timekeeping precision, the tourbillon is a device in which the regulating organ and escapement are placed, which constantly rotates around a central axis to eliminate any positional errors. The HMC 804 is unique in that it is at once, an automatic tourbillon movement which counteracts the effects of gravity in two ways: the one-minute flying tourbillon, and the patented double hairspring where two identical hairsprings compensate for any positional errors.
