Born amongst the stars

Since its introduction in 1952, the Omega Constellation has been inspired by our relationship with time as it's informed by the precise movement of the stars. For this special model, that interstellar inspiration has been taken one step further, with the introduction of a spellbinding meteorite dial.

The astonishing dial is formed from a genuine piece of the Muonionalusta meteorite, which fell to the earth in northern Scandinavia (west of the border between Sweden and Finland) in approximately one million years BCE, and was discovered by geologists in 1906. In preparation to be transformed into a unique watch dial, each piece of iron meteorite has been given a blue galvanic color treatment, and since the natural pattern within the meteorite is unique to each slice, no two dials are ever the same. This watch is completed with a date window and the signature Omega Constellation star at 6:00.

The 41 mm watch is presented with a case and mono-rang bracelet created from stainless steel, with signature Constellation features including the polished claws, half-moon facets, and laser-ablated Roman numerals in positive relief on a grade 5 titanium bezel.

Behind the sapphire exhibition crystal on the caseback, this Constellation is driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900, guaranteeing the highest standards of precision, performance and magnetic resistance, as certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

Founded in 1848, innovative watchmaking has long remained the cornerstone of Omega's incredible heritage, but the Bienne maker's modern legacy is driven forward through innovations in sports timekeeping, its conquests of outer space and the deep sea with the legendary Speedmaster and Seamaster respectively, along with advocacy on behalf of worthy organizations. All this, in addition to the brand's enviable role in support of the world’s most famous super-spy: James Bond.
