TOPPER EXTENDED GUARANTEE
Extended Warranty
Toppers is excited to offer a free extended warranty on the purchase of new watches. This warranty begins when the manufacturer's warranty runs out. As such, Topper Fine Jewelers will provide an additional non-transferable warranty for a period of one year.*
*Restrictions Apply. Service provided anywhere other than at Topper Fine Jewelers or a service center of the original manufacturer is not covered and shall void the warranty. Topper Fine Jewelers will have sole discretion to determine whether the work for the warranty will be performed "in house" by Topper Fine Jewelers or at a repair facility of our choice. The limited warranty does not cover bracelets, crystals, batteries, or any damage to the case or movement caused by moisture that might have entered the watch as a result of improper handling, nor does it apply, on a more general basis, if there is evidence of misuse or abuse. Only Topper Fine Jewelers will determine at its sole discretion to repair any watch under this warranty.
A 37mm US-exclusive inspired by a beautiful Japanese songbird
During Rikka, the sekki or seasonal phase marking the beginning of summer, the Oruri songbird migrates from Southeast Asia to the mountainous regions of Japan. Here, they spend their summer months to the delight of locals who can listen to the Blue-and-White Flycatcher’s enchanting singing. With their beautiful blue feathers, these charming songbirds serve as the inspiration for a new U.S. special edition timepiece, the SBGW279. The classic case design, influenced by the first Grand Seiko of 1960, offers a charming manual-wind dress watch with thoughtful proportions, an impressive movement, a simplistic dial with no date, and distortion-free finishing.
Housed inside the comfortable-sized 37.3mm stainless steel case is the 9S64 mechanical manual-wind movement. This expertly constructed and beautifully finished time-only movement can be appreciated via the watches’ exhibition caseback. With a power reserve of 72 hours and an accuracy of -3 to +5 seconds per day (static), the 9S64 showcases Grand Seiko’s expertise in creating highly efficient and accurate movements.
The SBGW279 features a beautiful, deep blue dial reminiscent of the blue feathers found on the Oruri songbird. As with all Grand Seiko timepieces, the interaction of light and shadow plays a vital role in the watch's overall aesthetic. The blue sunray dial transforms the visual experience, creating depth, movement, and dimension. The SBGW279 is paired with a rich brown crocodile leather strap, which compliments the overall beauty of its deep blue dial.
