Celebrating the 150th edition of the Kentucky Derby
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the famous Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks horse races, Longines is presenting a new Mini Dolcevita model in a limited edition of 150 pieces. Set with diamonds, this elegant timepiece is delivered with an entirely new double strap in pink Nappa leather – pink being the emblematic colour of the Kentucky Oaks day – in support of preventing and combating women’s health issues. Longines has been the Official Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks since 2011. Its unwavering bond with the equestrian world goes as far back as the 19th century, a few years after the Swiss brand’s birth. Limited to 150 pieces, this Mini DolceVita has a case back especially engraved with the logo of the event’s anniversary, together with the inscription “ONE OF 150."
A portion of the limited edition watch sales will go to the Horses and Hope charity, which was established to increase breast cancer screening, education, and treatment referral among Kentucky's signature horse industry workers and other special populations. The program has since been expanded to offer cancer prevention and early detection services for many different cancers through the Horses and Hope Cancer Screening Van.
