SERIES II

Tribute to Northern California

Each watch capture a different aspect of winter in Northern California through their dials featuring “California” style formation

The Fears x Topper Edition Series II: Tribute to Northern California range is housed in an uprated Brunswick 40 case with a screw down crown featuring the Fears cipher that helps increase water resistance to 150metres (15ATM). The elegant yet tough case perfectly suits the active feel of the watches and are enhanced with the first use of a La Joux-Perret movement in a Fears watch: the Swiss-made G101. This modern movement features automatic winding via a custom decorated rotor, Côtes de Genève decoration with Rhodium plating and blued screws. Each with a hand-finished dial made in Germany and filled with X1 grade Super-LumiNova in Switzerland.

About the Fears Watch Company Limited

The Fears Watch Company Limited, known as “Fears”, is one of Britain’s oldest family-run watch companies, first established in 1846 by Edwin Fear in Bristol. The business ran for 130 years until it closed in 1976. In 2016, the year the business would have celebrated its 170th anniversary, it was re-established by Edwin Fear’s great-great-great- grandson, Nicholas Bowman-Scargill. Fears today is located in its historical home city of Bristol, where the watches are designed, before being hand built in Britain.

The Brunswick collection takes its name from Brunswick Square in Bristol where the company’s export warehouse was based from 1920 - 1942. The Archival collection includes proportional re-creations of pieces from the extensive Fears archive that use new-old-stock vintage movements. The Garrick collection includes watches made in collaboration with fellow British watchmaker Garrick, located in Norwich.
