TOPPER EXTENDED GUARANTEE
Extended Warranty
Toppers is excited to offer a free extended warranty on the purchase of new watches. This warranty begins when the manufacturer's warranty runs out. As such, Topper Fine Jewelers will provide an additional non-transferable warranty for a period of one year.*
*Restrictions Apply. Service provided anywhere other than at Topper Fine Jewelers or a service center of the original manufacturer is not covered and shall void the warranty. Topper Fine Jewelers will have sole discretion to determine whether the work for the warranty will be performed "in house" by Topper Fine Jewelers or at a repair facility of our choice. The limited warranty does not cover bracelets, crystals, batteries, or any damage to the case or movement caused by moisture that might have entered the watch as a result of improper handling, nor does it apply, on a more general basis, if there is evidence of misuse or abuse. Only Topper Fine Jewelers will determine at its sole discretion to repair any watch under this warranty.
A high-flying throwback to a rebel of the skies
From brave first takeoffs to the birth of commercial air travel, Breitling’s history is inseparable from that of flight. In the 1930s, Breitling’s Huit Aviation department made its name inventing precision cockpit clocks. Two decades later, it introduced yet another novel flight instrument, this time in wearable form: the Ref. 765 AVI. That pioneering pilot’s watch provided the technical and spiritual backdrop for today’s Classic AVI, a collection inspired by the rugged spirit of famed early aircraft.
This Breitling honors a true legend in aviation: the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. Conceived as a pursuit aircraft, the Warhawk first flew in 1938 and quickly proved itself as a master of agility. It wasn’t just the plane’s capacity for pulling jaw-dropping turns that gave it an in-flight edge, its robust structure meant it could tolerate harsh weather conditions and even many mid-air collisions. The Warhawk’s defiant shark-mouth nose art sealed its reputation as the rebel of the skies.
As a true pilot’s watch designed to withstand the rigors of both a vintage and modern cockpit alike, this Classic AVI features highly legible Arabic numerals on the dial and bezel. The oversized crown and knurled bezel on its sturdy 42mm case provide optimal grip, even in a pilot’s gloved hands. Top-stitched calfskin straps give a nod to the seams found on classic flight gear, while the optional stainless-steel bracelet provides an elegant alternative. The engine of the Classic AVI is the tried-and-true COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 23 chronograph movement.

About Breitling
From its earliest patents around the chronograph, to the later smuggling watches out of Switzerland in support of allied efforts at the outset of WWII, the Breitling story is one ripe with innovation, intrigue, and even audacity, ever since its founding by Léon Breitling in 1884. The modern Breitling continues those traditions, while faithfully tipping its hat to the brand's earliest days, marrying in-house movement manufacture with more modest proportions that maintain Breitling's hallmark case design and dial finishing. This is the Breitling that watch fans have spent the last two decades waiting for, and this is the Breitling we are so proud to welcome to Topper Jewelers.
