Toppers is excited to offer a free extended warranty on the purchase of new watches. This warranty begins when the manufacturer's warranty runs out. As such, Topper Fine Jewelers will provide an additional non-transferable warranty for a period of one year.*
*Restrictions Apply. Service provided anywhere other than at Topper Fine Jewelers or a service center of the original manufacturer is not covered and shall void the warranty. Topper Fine Jewelers will have sole discretion to determine whether the work for the warranty will be performed "in house" by Topper Fine Jewelers or at a repair facility of our choice. The limited warranty does not cover bracelets, crystals, batteries, or any damage to the case or movement caused by moisture that might have entered the watch as a result of improper handling, nor does it apply, on a more general basis, if there is evidence of misuse or abuse. Only Topper Fine Jewelers will determine at its sole discretion to repair any watch under this warranty.
Hand-painted elegance in artisan collaboration
Both Glashütte Original and MEISSEN stand for the finest German craftsmanship in their respective fields. Each maker's manufactories are linked by a long tradition and friendship, which is expressed in an exclusive, and ongoing cooperation.
The Senator Meissen “Cherry Blossom” is one of Glashütte Original’s exclusive atelier commissions. Each of these exquisite timepieces is assembled and regulated entirely by a single watchmaker. A flat 40-mm red gold case frames the hand-painted dial, where the solid gold hour and minute hands take center stage. A dark blue Louisiana alligator leather strap with a red gold clasp completes this elegant creation.
Nature-inspired motifs have a long tradition in fine ceramics. At MEISSEN, Europe’s first porcelain manufactory, flowers and leaves were already being painted onto its precious creations during the 18th century. In addition to exotic plants, native cherry blossoms, with their white and pink splendor, are also a popular motif. Today, Glashütte Original, in collaboration with MEISSEN, brings them to life on the dial of a watch that showcases the expertise and craftsmanship of these two Saxon manufactories: the Senator Meissen “Cherry Blossom.”
The porcelain dial is crafted in the MEISSEN workshops in the famous town of Meissen where centuries of history, craftsmanship and beauty meet. It is only 0.8 mm thick, which makes the manufacturing process extremely challenging. An in-house colour laboratory with closely guarded formulas forms the basis for the delicate floral motif, which stands out vividly against the light background. Experienced porcelain painters apply the colours using fine brushes. Layer by layer, the dial is fired in a kiln at 900° C to achieve the desired depth of color.
This 2-hand model houses the finest Glashütte watchmaking art. The automatic Calibre 36, which has a running time of 100 hours, combines traditional mechanics with modern user-friendliness. Its silicon balance spring is insensitive to magnetic fields and temperature fluctuations and ensures maximum rate accuracy. The sapphire crystal case back reveals typical features of Glashütte watchmaking, including the three-quarter plate with stripe finish.
