As Seiko turns the corner on its 140th Anniversary, the venerable Japanese manufacturer again looks to nature to inspire its latest limited-edition Prospex capsule. This time, a pair of references capture the deep green scenery of the rich ocean that surrounds Iriomote Island in the Okinawa prefecture archipelago.

The island of Iriomote attracts divers from all areas of the world. Its abundant coral reefs teem with marine life but the island's special charm lies in the primeval and pristine mangrove forests that surround it. Further, Iriomote is home to several species of flora and fauna that are rare and, in some instances, unique to the island.

This new dive watch represents the culmination of 140 years of Seiko's watchmaking expertise clad in a highly water resistant stainless steel case. Its gold-colored seconds hand punctuates the vibrant green dial, reminiscent of sunrise over the islands' lush, virgin forest.
