A modern tribute to a legendary polar explorer

Designed for those who treat life as the ultimate adventure, the Seiko Prospex line meets every challenge with technological excellence and style. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate over 60 years of sports watch excellence with recreations and reinterpretations of landmark achievements. Following ISO standards for scuba diving at depths of up to 200 meters, this exceptional timepiece pays tribute to the exploits of Japanese polar explorer Naomi Uemura. It is powered by a 26-jewel caliber 8L35 automatic movement designed for increased torque and assembled expressly for diver's watches at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, and manual or automatic winding. The textured gray dial includes a date calendar, with LumiBrite coating on the hands, markers and bezel ring accents. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, this high intensity watch features a screwdown crown and caseback, as well as a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, black one-way rotating elapsed timing bezel, and tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender.
